Back to Team

Jason Dodge is a lifelong public servant, small business owner, and fourth-generation rancher running for the North Dakota House of Representatives in District 39.

Born in Nebraska and raised in a working family across the country, Jason learned early the values of discipline, responsibility, and service. At age 17, he joined the United States Air Force, later attending North Dakota State University while serving in a Minnesota Army National Guard Mechanized Infantry unit. His military service included overseas deployments to Kosovo in support of peacekeeping operations and Iraq during combat operations, where he earned the Combat Infantryman's Badge and multiple awards for leadership and performance.

After returning home, Jason continued serving in civilian roles across North Dakota. He worked in the oil and energy sector, owned and operated small businesses, and served in law enforcement and corrections leadership, including as an Acting Captain responsible for facility security, staff supervision, and emergency response. In 2016, Jason joined the U.S. Department of State as a World Protective Services contractor, serving at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan as a Personal Security Specialist protecting senior U.S. officials and international dignitaries.

Today, Jason owns and operates TYR Global, LLC, a risk management consulting firm, and serves as Safety Manager for a multi-location agricultural commodities exchange with assets exceeding $100 million. He and his wife, Tressa, lease and manage the Lazy JS Ranch near Bowman—a fourth-generation family operation in the Quarter Horse industry dating back to 1908—where they raise registered Quarter Horses and polled Hereford cattle. They are raising their two daughters, Cheyenne and Suttyn, with a strong commitment to faith, family, and community.

Jason is committed to constitutional principles, fiscal responsibility, public safety, and protecting North Dakota's agricultural and energy economies. He believes effective leadership begins with listening, accountability, and practical problem-solving. Jason is running to ensure District 39 has a steady, experienced, and principled voice in Bismarck.
